PHARMACY DEPARTMENT

• This Department has an obligation to ensure provision of high quality pharmaceutical care services to both inpatients and outpatients attending the hospital. This is by ensuring;

  • Availability of quality medicines and medical devices

  • Cost effectiveness of the services

  • Patients/clients education with reference to the provided services

  • Confidentiality of clients

  • Proper storage and dispensing of medicines and medical devices

  • Rational use of medicines

  • Clients satisfaction on the provided services

• On average the Pharmacy department attends about 530 patients per day on week days that is 330 out patients and 200 inpatients.
